BIOGRAPHY

Dr Julia Andre holds a Masters degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, with the specialization of Psychopathology from Maastricht University, NL; a PhD at the Department of Psychology at Hong Kong University; and is an active member of the International Psycho-oncology Society (IPOS). Julia is a Registered Psychologist with the Hong Kong Psychological Society (RP-HKPS) and also is a Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society (CPsych BPS).

Dr. Andre is a Hong Kong based Chartered Psychologist (BPS) who is passionate about clinical psychology since her very early years and received her clinical training in Germany. Working and living in different countries have given Dr. Andre an understanding of the many adjustments that people are faced with when leaving their home countries and growing up in different cultures.

Her work is based on the concept of cognitive behavioral therapy with the main focus on shaping awareness and facilitating understanding of problematic behavioral patterns, which lead to prolonged suffering and evoke distress. With the appreciation that each client is unique, her therapeutic approach is flexibly adapted to personal needs and symptomatology.
